Q1. So, in the end, how’d your WP2 paper go? What were you happy with? What weren’t you? Why? Be specific!
I think my WP2 went alright, I was really panicked at the beginning of the assignment because i felt like there was so much material that needed to be addressed in the paper that I was concerned I would be too overwhelmed and not write enough/not address all of the questions. I think (in comparison to my WP1) I did a better job of organizing my paper so that it wasn’t all over the place. I think I could have worked on addressing more things about the structure of each of the articles and the effect it has.
Q2. Which 2 or 3 comments that you received yesterday were the most helpful for you? Why?
I found it extremely helpful to get an outside perspective on my writing because she was able to identify certain ‘moves’ that I had overlooked and even point out areas where I was being too vague or repetitive, another common comment that I received was “what does this do?/What is the effect” because I didn’t realize that I was making observations or claims but not offering a reason or evidence to back it up. It honestly just helped to have someone else look at the paper because I felt like since i had been rereading it over and over again I was overlooking a lot of mistakes.
